  • "I’ve taken an US course before, but nothing like this one. The 2 days of doing US on person after person really helped everything from the online modules to “click.” I know so much more than I did going into the course. Highly recommend if you even might need to use US for something. I verified my IUD placement and looked for placenta previa (diagnosed elsewhere), which I did find. Before I wouldn’t have known where the cervix was in US. It was also nice only having 4 students per group because we all got plenty time to practice plus lots of instructor feedback. Another nice thing that I didn’t know when I signed up: if you paid for the course at any point, you can always contact them for pointers/help or to remotely monitor your US skills if you wanted to do the certification."

  • "I learned way more at the ultrasound for women's health providers than I expected. I used some of the skills I learned THE VERY NEXT DAY I WAS IN CLINIC! Very relevant and wonderful training. Would recommend to anyone."

  • "The two-day course really helped to consolidate my knowledge and gave us all a lot of hands-on experience with patients. Michelle and Gay were great instructors - very knowledgeable and equally supportive!"

I was super tired from a hectic week and was dreading a long class on my weekend, but I was pleasantly surprised with what a joy the class was! I found the content to be super interesting in the online learning portion and really enjoyed putting it into practice with the hands-on learning. Michelle is inviting, easy to learn from, and made the day really fun! Highly recommend this class."

  • "Ultrasound for Women's Health Providers is a great resource, especially if you do not have a local source for training. The online portion was easy to navigate. It is done in chapters so you can come back to it so you don't have to do it all at once. It was complete through all aspects of ultrasound in pregnancy & well woman check up. We also arranged to have a Hands on training and our instructor Nora was AMAZING. She was very kind and patient while we were learning new skills. She was very informative and we were able to get a lot of knowledge in, in 1 day. I highly recommend this course!"

WHAT THE INSTRUCTORS ARE SAYING:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have any more events planned for 2025?
This will be our final hands-on event for 2025. We will have 2-3 more hands-on events in 2026. We also have a mailing list you can join to learn about future events here. At this time we do not know where our 2026 events will be located or when they will be scheduled. We typically at least have one spring and one fall event.

What CEUs are available?
This event offers up to 25.5 AANP CE credits and 26 ACNM CEUs.

Can I still get tickets for the event?
Yes, tickets are still available!

What should I expect on event day?
Each group will have four students per instructor. The days are long and involve a continuous scanning schedule, so if you need to step away for a restroom or personal break, feel free to do so—just come back when you're ready. Breakfast and snacks are not provided, but lunch is included each day. During lunch breaks, we will host an informal session introducing the Midwife Certification Exam. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with instructors, ask questions, and gain insights on confidently integrating ultrasound into your clinical practice.

Please arrive prepared and ready to begin learning. This event will be two full days of scanning and working with ultrasound equipment. You are welcome to print out slides from the online course for reference during the event (these will not be supplied on-site). We recommend drinking plenty of water, bringing snacks as needed, and wearing comfortable clothing and shoes—since you'll be on your feet most of the day.

Can we travel with a friend or colleague?
Yes! Many of our participants travel in small groups. If you travel with a friend or colleague, you can request to be grouped with them when you fill out your registration paperwork. Each group has four participants, so keep that in mind when making your request. This is also a great way to save on travel expenses, as you can opt to share a hotel room, travel together by car, etc. The ability to be grouped with a friend or colleague comes on a first-come, first-served basis. We will try our best to accommodate every request, but the sooner you submit your request, the better. This also applies to large groups. As long as we have enough tickets available to fit your group size, we will can accommodate your group.

I've already purchased the online course and/or completed the online course. Do I need to take it again?
If you have already purchased the online course, we will refund you the amount you paid for the course once you purchase your hands-on event ticket, as the online course is included in your ticket. If you have completed the course, you do not need to take it again. We will just want your certificate of completion before you attend the event. If you purchased your online course before April 1, 2024, we will also give you free access to the updated online course, which will continue to be updated over time. You can reference it if you ever need a refresher.

What skill level is the hands-on scanning course for?
Any skill level is welcome to attend. We have participants across the spectrum when it comes to skill. In the registration paperwork, we ask about skill level so we can best group people where they fit, and our instructors are prepared to meet each group at the skill level they are at.
